Zara Rodriguez Buenrostro

 

My name is Zara Rodriguez Buenrostro.  I was born in Mexico.  I came to the United States with my parents in 1982.  They came for employment purposes.  I have five children.  I am a Nurse's Aide.   

 

I came to LATC because I wanted to get my U.S. citizenship.  The Citizenship class taught me a lot.  It prepared me for the interview.  The teacher and the mentor taught me one-on-one.  I cried when I received my Naturalization certificate.  

 

Now that I am a citizen, I can vote, travel, and apply for federal jobs.  I would recommend LATC to anyone who wants to reach their goals.  The school and the teachers are the best!
