Automotive Technician
Program Overview:
This program is designed to teach students general automotive repair, including electrical and electronic systems, brakes, steering, suspension, automatic transmissions, automatic transaxles, manual transmissions, clutches, four wheel and all-wheel drive systems, and drive train and drive axels, heating and air conditioning. The course provides hands-on training in diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures to prepare students for employment in the automotive repair industry

Brief Course Description:
Second in a sequence of two courses designed to introduce automotive systems. It provides students with project-based experiences in automotive technologies including alternative and green vehicle technology. Emphasis is placed on foreign car engine designs, the ignition systems, fuel systems, exhaust systems, emission control, major engine operations, and alternative power sources for automobiles.
